Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Strevel LLC ("strevel", "we", "us") covering your use of the strevel app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use strevel. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have a parent's or guardian's permission.

2. Your account

• You sign in with your Apple ID. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device and Apple ID secure.
• Your username must not impersonate anyone or be offensive, and it must not infringe anyone's rights. We may reclaim or change usernames that break these rules.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

3. Not medical advice

strevel is a logging and tracking tool, not a medical service. Calorie targets, macronutrient targets, energy expenditure estimates, nutrition data, and other figures in the app are estimates based on general formulas and the information you enter. They may be inaccurate. Nothing in strevel is medical, nutritional, or fitness advice. Talk to a qualified professional before starting a diet or exercise program, especially if you are pregnant or have a medical condition or a history of disordered eating. Exercise carries a risk of injury, and you take part at your own risk.

Nutrition information in our food catalog comes from public sources and product labels and may contain errors. Check the label when accuracy matters to you.

4. Your content

• "Your content" means what you create or upload: logs, custom foods and exercises, profile details, posts, photos, captions, and comments. You own your content.
• You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, and display your content, only as needed to operate the Service. That includes showing it to the people you share it with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups that have not yet expired.
• You're responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the rights to what you upload and that it doesn't break the law or these Terms.
• Some posts are created automatically from your workouts and meals according to your sharing settings. You can change those settings, or hide or delete posts, at any time.

5. Community rules

strevel has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to:

• harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone;
• post hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable content;
• post content that promotes self-harm or disordered eating;
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are;
• post spam, advertising, or scams;
• post other people's private information, or photos of people without their permission;
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
• access other accounts, get around blocks or privacy settings, scrape the Service, or interfere with how it works;
• use the Service for anything unlawful.

You can report content or users from within the app, and you can block any user. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. We aim to act on valid reports within 24 hours. We are not required to monitor content, and we are not responsible for content other users post.

6. Our rights in the Service

The app, its design, software, and food and exercise catalogs belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the Service except where the law allows it.

7. Apple App Store

If you downloaded strevel from the App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app. That includes product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use must also comply with the App Store's Usage Rules. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.

8. Changes and termination

• We may change or discontinue features, or the Service as a whole. If we shut down the Service, we'll try to give you reasonable notice.
• We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll let you know in the app or by other reasonable means before it takes effect. If you keep using strevel after that, you accept the updated Terms.
• You can stop using strevel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we're required to by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, strevel and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify strevel against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring claims locally.

13. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger or sale. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
